The Stand Adventure: Our Church

Jesus said that by how we love one another, the world will know we are his disciples. We are committed to learning how to live out the command to “love one another” in our community, knowing that we can’t learn it apart from community!

Without love, says the Apostle Paul, we are like clanging gongs and noisy cymbals with no meaning or melody. Without love, we just have church programs and religious-themed outreach based on good ideas but without the abundance that Jesus talked about. Just as Jesus made it clear we are to live mission in the world around us, so we are to be on mission to each other, humbly loving each other and putting each other before our own selves.

The ministries of The Stand Adventure: Our Church are designed to connect us into deeper community with one another, so that we may grow together, encourage one another, be transformed together, and fulfill Jesus’ command to love one another.

AGE-GRADED MINISTRIES:

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: Ministers to all age groups, from babies through 5th grade, growing them in the word and love of God. During our Sunday service, we have classrooms for all ages and we love little ones!

IGNITE/FRESH FIRE JR./SR. HIGH MINISTRIES: Ignite and Fresh Fire are scripturally focused groups for LBCF’s youth. They both meet on Thursday nights, from 7 to 9PM.

THE GATHERING COLLEGE MINISTRY: The Gathering is a scripturally-focused group fostering community and spiritual growth for college students. The Gathering meetings Sunday nights in The Loft at 3210 E Airport way.

EXPRESS: Express is a socially focused group for young that meets on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

SPECIAL FOCUS MINISTRIES:

AVENUES: Avenues is a small group support system and one-on-one accountability designed to support men in engaging their sexuality in a holistic and fulfilling way. Avenues is also a forum for men navigating sexual temptation and addiction.

CARE TEAM: Cares for church individuals and families in need or duress. The Care ministry often provides meals to those who are sick or recovering from surgery or illness.

LIVING STRENGTH: Provides biblically based prayer, support, and mentoring, on an individual basis.

MINISTRY AND PRAYER TEAM: The Ministry and Prayer Team is trained to pray for individuals through focused and prayer. They generally minister at Sunday and special services.
