LBCF Mission and Vision Statement

The vision of the community of Long Beach Christian Fellowship is to celebrate God’s redeeming love and to live that life-changing experience of His love in the world around us. Our mission is to love each other, to serve the city and people of Long Beach, and to plead the cause of the afflicted around the world, proclaiming the good news of God’s love.

We believe that the love of God is the hope of the world. God is missional—He is, because of the character of His love—a pursuer. He came to save those caught in the blindness of their selfishness and rampant self-focus and sin. Jesus came to pursue a world longing to know the love of the Father. This love transforms us. It draws us together in community, where we experience God’s goodness. It destroys our fear and begins a process of transformation that renews us in love, passion, and power.

As a response to this love, we are called to love and serve others. This begins in our community, as Jesus taught (John 13:35), but always leads to mission in our city and world. Mission simply means a life of pursuing, serving, and loving others, as Jesus did.
